How we work, who does it, and what stands behind the job.

George Shepherd owns the shop and does the work, alongside a small crew he has trained himself. That is deliberate rather than a stage we have not grown out of: coating and film work is craft work, and the difference between a good install and an average one is the person holding the applicator, not the brand on the bottle. It means the person who quotes your car is usually the person who corrects it, so nothing is lost between the consultation and the bay. It also means we take on fewer vehicles at once than a volume shop would. If you want to know who will be doing the job before you book, ask at the consultation and you will get a straight answer rather than a scheduling department.

We install manufacturer-certified coating and film systems, which matters for a practical reason rather than a decorative one: the written warranties that come with those systems are only valid when an approved installer applies them, so certification is what makes your warranty real rather than a leaflet. Training is ongoing rather than a certificate collected once, because film patterns, coating chemistry and paint systems all change. Beyond the paperwork, the measurable part of our process is paint depth: we take clear-coat thickness readings with a gauge before any correction, so how much we remove is a number we know rather than a feel we trust. A shop that cannot tell you the readings on your panels is guessing, and guessing is how clear coat gets burned through.

Our studio is in Milford, New Hampshire, and it is climate controlled, which is the whole reason the location works the way it does. Ceramic coatings need stable temperature and humidity for the full cure, and paint protection film needs a clean bay with nothing else in it throwing dust while the adhesive sets. A controlled indoor space is worth more to the finished job than a busier address would be. Milford also sits within easy reach of the Nashua, Manchester, Amherst, Merrimack and Bedford areas, and we offer concierge pickup and delivery where getting the car to us is awkward. Customers regularly travel from across southern New Hampshire and northern Massachusetts, because the bay is the thing that decides the result.

We turn work away, which a volume operation cannot afford to do. If a car needs correction before a coating and the budget only covers the coating, we will say so and recommend the smaller package on properly corrected paint rather than the bigger one sealed over defects, because a coating preserves whatever is underneath it for years. We also quote after looking at the vehicle rather than from a price list, since how long paint correction takes depends on the condition of the paint and nobody can know that from a phone call. The trade-off is honest: we are not the cheapest option and we cannot usually take your car tomorrow. What you get instead is a job that is right the first time and a shop that is still here to stand behind it.
