Ceramic Coating

Protect your vehicle with the ultimate high-gloss, long-lasting shield.

A ceramic coating is a liquid polymer that bonds chemically with your vehicle's clear coat to form a durable, semi-permanent layer of protection. Once cured, it creates a hydrophobic surface that repels water, road salt, dirt, tree sap, and UV rays, so contaminants slide off instead of etching the paint. For Southern New Hampshire drivers that means an easier-to-wash finish, deeper gloss, and protection that lasts years rather than the few months you get from wax. At Lethal Premium Car Care we install pro-grade coatings the right way: we measure paint thickness, correct swirls and defects first, then apply and cure the coating in a climate-controlled bay. Depending on the package, a professionally installed ceramic coating protects your paint for three years, five years, or the life of the vehicle — backed by a manufacturer warranty when maintained.

“Amazing work. George and his team fully focused on my truck and the wife's suv with both eyes wide and were on point with their details and work. They look better than when we picked them up from the dealer. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED”

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Ceramic coating basics, timelines, and how we protect your finish.

Ceramic coating packages here range from a daily-driver system up to multi-layer builds rated for around five years, and we also pair a coating with paint protection film where a car takes real impact — a commuter that lives on the highway is a different job from a weekend car that mostly sees dry pavement. What changes between packages is the number of layers, how much paint correction goes in underneath, and whether we add the wheel faces and glass. We walk through the options against how you actually drive the car rather than selling up by default.

Yes — paint correction always comes before a ceramic coating, because a coating seals in whatever is underneath it. Every coating we install includes at least a gloss enhancement polish, and the higher packages add multi-stage correction to remove swirls and scratches before anything is sealed over them. This matters more than most people expect: if you coat over swirl marks from an automatic wash, you have locked those swirls in for the life of the coating. Correcting first is the difference between protected paint and preserved damage.

Most ceramic coating installs take one to two days. The variable is rarely the coating itself — it is how much paint correction the car needs first, which system is going on, and how long that system has to cure afterwards. Curing happens in our climate-controlled studio in Milford rather than outdoors, because a coating only cross-links properly in controlled temperature and humidity, and rushing that step is how coatings fail early. We give you an exact timeline at the consult once we have seen the paint, so you are not guessing about drop-off and collection.

The honest difference is durability and chemical resistance. A wax is a soft sacrificial layer measured in months, and it washes down steadily every time the car gets cleaned. A ceramic coating chemically bonds to the clear coat and is measured in years when it is maintained, holding up far better against UV fade, road chemicals, bird droppings and the water spotting that etches paint in summer. It is also markedly more hydrophobic, so water beads and carries dirt off with it, which is why a coated car stays looking clean noticeably longer between washes.

Caring for a coated vehicle is mostly about what you avoid. Stay out of automatic brush washes — those are what put the swirl marks in the paint in the first place, and a coating does not make paint scratch-proof. Wash with a pH-neutral soap and a clean mitt, dry with a soft towel rather than letting it air-dry and spot, and keep up a maintenance wash schedule so contaminants do not sit on the surface. We hand over a care guide when you collect the car, and we are happy to handle the upkeep washes ourselves if you would rather not.

Yes. The professional-grade systems we install carry manufacturer-backed warranty terms, and we register the coating so the coverage is on record rather than being a verbal promise. The condition on every one of them is maintenance: the warranty assumes the car is washed properly and comes back for its scheduled maintenance, and neglect voids coverage on any brand. We go through exactly what is covered, what is not, and what upkeep the warranty expects when you collect the car, so there are no surprises later.
